20 Tips for Being Wealthier Now Part 1

It’s official, on April 19th the Sun moved into Taurus. This stable Earth sign provides an excellent window through which we can take a grounded and realistic look at the subject of wealth. Almost everyone wants to be more prosperous, so I’ve assembled a list of 20 tips, that, like my readings, combines the practical with the Spiritual. Whether you’re looking for ways to stretch your dollars or ways to expand your consciousness about money, the Taurus cycle is an excellent time to explore the subject. Remember that new habits initiated while the Sun moves through this fixed sign can last for years. And as we have Saturn in fellow Earth sign Virgo and Jupiter in Capricorn this year, the potential to reap long term rewards is much higher than usual. So here are some ideas.

1. Recognize the abundance already present in your life at least once a day. This can take almost any form, a flower bush that is in full bloom, mounds of fresh produce at the grocery store or a freshly folded stack of your laundry. The point is to pause and consciously focus on these examples of plenty. You may want to make a declaration such as “The Universe is infinitely abundant” at the same time.

2. Carry cash to the grocery store. According to a recent article in Woman’s Day, on average we spend 20% more when we use a bank or credit card when shopping for food. Unless you’re earning frequent flier miles with that plastic, changing this habit pays off immediately and your wealth accumulates considerably over time. How much is 20% of your grocery bill over the course of ten years? And how could you better use that amount of money?

3. Use your computer desktop for affirmations and images of wealth. For those who spend a great deal of time in front of the device, this is a great way to remind ourselves and our mega-powerful minds of our wealth goals.

4. Make your gasoline dollars go further by only filling up in the early morning when the ground temperature is still cold and when your tank is half full instead of nearly empty. Petrol expands with heat, so the later in the day and the higher the temperature, the less gasoline you are getting for your money. Air aids the evaporation of petrol, so giving it less space in your tank will minimize evaporation, making your gasoline last longer.

5. Attend the Journey to the Stars webinar on May 1st - $10. So, this is a shameless promotion, but six planets will be in Earth signs on May 1st when noted author/astrologer/radio host Mark Husson presents his first webinar at Hay House Radio. If you don’t know why six planets being in Earth signs on that day is significant, this course will explain it to you. The larger planets of Saturn and Jupiter are also in Earth signs for several more months. If you learn a little more about astrology, you can find out how to put this powerful information to work when planning business, financial and career strategies.

6. Shop eBay. Last year a good friend recommended a $350 water purification system which I found brand new, in the box, on eBay for $210. The shampoo that costs $32 at the salon can be found on eBay for $18. Regular sellers are rated in terms of their reliability, so finding a trustworthy source is a snap. One of my best friends is married to a man whose annual salary is over one million dollars, and she swears by eBay. If the rich are doing it, it’s probably a good financial idea.

7. Live with a sense of luxury now. The notion of being wealthy is simply an idea, and one that is unique to each of us. Regularly having experiences of what you consider to be living the good life will align you more closely with your wealth vibration and the sensation of being rich. A long candlelit bath with “spa” music, time out for a leisurely cup of tea or coffee in the middle of the afternoon, or a well prepared meal served at a set dining table on your best dinnerware are but a few examples of little things you can do to feel rich now with things you already have.

8. Whenever possible. own instead of renting. The next time that you review your monthly bills, ask yourself if there is anything that you currently rent or subscribe to that would pay for itself if you purchased it instead. That water filter I mentioned is an example of an otherwise unending bill from Arrowhead Water that I eliminated completely.

9. Spend more time on the wealthy sections of town. Why not see how the other half (ok 2%) live? No you don’t have to drop $400 on a t-shirt at Barneys. Even Beverly Hills has a Gap and a Starbucks (well, officially five, but who’s counting?). Sitting awhile to sip your latte at the rich people’s Coffee Bean may also reveal areas you need to work on in terms of your abundance consciousness. If you try this, gently notice whether you admire or judge and resent the rich people you encournter. I’ll write more about this in next week’s post.

10. Come to our Journey Through the Stars After Party when our readings that normally retail for $3.49/minute will be on sale for $1.99/minute from 6:00 P.M. to midnight PST. OK, so it is another shameless plug, but a bargain is a bargain! The wealthy know a good deal when they see one and are usually wise enough to take advantage of it. Lesson in Courage

A good friend had to postpone her plans to come visit Southern California this weekend due to the grounding of American Airlines’ flights. Fortunately for her, she had not yet begun her journey, so she was spared the extreme inconvenience experienced by thousands of passengers stranded across the country. As I wrote words that I hoped would bring her comfort, the most amazing insight came. God bless Bobby Boutris. He’s the man responsible for grounding thousands of flights, and we owe him our deepest gratitude for doing so. Because of this one man’s unwavering courage, the entire flying public is now safer. So if you’re feeling upset, like my friend was, because your plans were changed, you may want to reframe your thoughts. Bobby Boutris may have saved your life.

Last week the 56-year-old FAA employee testified before the House Transportation Committee on Capitol Hill and revealed years of unconscionable business practices by Southwest Airlines and complicit staff of the FAA. Those unscrupulous individuals literally put the lives of the flying public at risk by fudging safety records, and since 2003 Mr. Boutris, at great cost to himself and his family, has been on our side. His testimony was such a revelation in fact that the safety standards and practices of four other airlines are now under investigation, hence the flight cancellations.

In the Dallas Morning News Mr. Boutris was quoted as saying, “Anything that goes against a standard and against the law is worth fighting.“

Most of us would agree with his sentiment. But I wonder how many of us would practice our beliefs to the extent that Mr. Boutris did. Pacified with material goods and fearful of economic peril, how many of us would sacrifice so much for the common good?

In 2003 Mr. Boutris brought the muddy safety records of Southwest airlines to the attention of his supervisor, Douglas Gawadzinski. Boutris’ valid concerns were ignored. In the all too familiar scenario, it turns out that Mr. Gawadzinski had a very cozy relationship with Southwest Airlines regulatory compliance manager Paul Comeau. The solution to Boutris’ persistent concern for the public’s safety was a reassignment of his job in 2006. When the man who replaced him, Douglas Peters, sided with Boutris’ findings In 2007, the FAA used a highly suspicious excuse to relieve Boutris of his day to day responsibilities for oversight of Southwest inspections. As if all of that wasn’t intimidating enough, this year, when it was announced that Congress would grant him and fellow whistle blower Peters a hearing, the plot got really dark. Mr. Boutris received a death threat. The FBI is presently investigating that.

Last week I heard a radio interview with Mr. Boutris and could not help but notice his Greek accent. The fact that he immigrated to America, in 1975, makes his story all the more moving and remarkable to me, especially in this election year. He’s someone who left his homeland for the promise of America. Ultimately that promised was kept. Our country and the world are better for people like Mr. Boutris. In an age of skepticism and cynicism, I find him truly heroic. And personally, I consider what happened a small miracle. So the next time someone suggests that your work on a political or social issue is insignificant or meaningless, I hope you will think of Mr. Boutris, the thousands of grounded flights, an entire aviation system that has now been called into question, and the vast difference that one person can make.

And as I’m posting today, I of course want to wish the Good Friday Peace Accord and people of Ireland, North and South, a very happy 10th Anniversary. It was ten years ago today that the accord was signed by their politicians. In May it will be ten years since the public ratified it by voting for peace, a peace they now share. Don’t let anyone tell you that your vote doesn’t count.

With love,
Elizabeth

Passion into Form

Let the enthusiasm begin! The first new moon of Spring arrives on Sunday, April 6th at 7:55 P.M. PST. This past moon cycle was an excellent time to meditate, reflect and seek deeper Spiritual Wisdom. But the nebulous sometimes meandering waters of Pisces have definitely passed. We now enter a lunar cycle when Venus, Mercury and the Sun are in feisty, enlivening Aries. In short, our hearts (Venus) and minds (Mercury) are reawakening to connect us passionately with what is most important to us. If you’ve been doing some honest to goodness soul searching lately, you are about to be rewarded. This cycle will give us direction and energetic support. What is more is that this moon’s journey will also see us into the materializing forces of Taurus whose earthy energy will be strongly magnified by the presence of large outer planets in fellow earth signs. In short, what we truly love and are committed to can now come into form.

April 17th Mercury moves into Taurus where it will be joined by the Sun on the 19th, on the 20th the moon will be full (in Scorpio - how powerful!) and on the 30th (Beltane) Venus will enters Taurus. On May 2nd Saturn, currently in Virgo, will go direct after being retrograde since mid December. And Jupiter and Pluto are already in fellow earth sign Capricorn. Some of you will recall the new moon of January 8th this year when we set New Year’s intentions while four planets were in Capricorn. The new cycle will see some very tangible progress on those goals and objectives. Keep going!

If you’d like to understand more about astrology, on May1st a very special opportunity to do so will be presented by Hay House Radio. Renowned author Mark Husson is hosting his first Astrology webinar, somehow planned on a day when six planets are in Earth signs. That guy is good! Novices and professionals alike have something to learn form Mark’s keen and creative perspective on the planets. That event takes place live from 4:00-6:00 P.M. PST and only costs $10 at attend. I’ll be there and hope to be mingling and learning with you then. To register, just .visit Hay House

And, as so many notes have piled up since my last post, I want to cover a few of the more significant ones. In dreams I’ve seen that China will come to peaceful terms with Tibet. The pressure of Olympics sponsors and the transparency of the world (wide web) we now live in, plus the next set of eclipses, will make it impossible to do otherwise. Also under the influences of those August eclipses (the 1st and 16th), I saw the younger generation (Indigos and Crystals) stage very colorful, well-crafted, media savvy protests at the Democratic National Convention in Denver. But this will not be Chicago circa 1968 when the Antiwar rallies clashed with police. I was shown our youth staging creative, compelling and well choreographed messages of peace. If you’re reading this and are under 35 years of age, get to it! And remember that April 22nd is Earth Day. With so many planets in Earth signs this year, we have a more profound opportunity to improve things. So whether it’s through political practice, meditation and prayer, or via participating in a local cleanup event, please consider taking some time this year to work towards a cleaner, greener, more loving and beautiful planet.

Finally, to close out this post about purpose/passion coming into form, I’m very pleased to announce that NPR affiliate WBFO-FM in Buffalo, NY will include my music in a special about the peace process of Northern Ireland. Hosted by Bill Raffel, it will air live and be streamed online on Saturday, April 5th at 8:00 P.M EST. This is one of those dreams really do come true moments for me, and I hope you will share in the inspiration the achievement of peace really is.

Wishing Love, Light and many blessings.
Elizabeth

Ps: Saw this and really liked it. I affectionately refer to her as the brain lady, Jill Bolte Taylor, and her story is pretty interesting.

Spring Moon: Go with Dolly

As this moon begins, many of us find ourselves tangled in varying states of emotional upheaval, with unresolved issues popping up and demanding our attention. This lunar cycle is to help us clear out old energies and bring greater balance into our lives so that we may enter the season of Spring in a true state of renewal.

We knew that the eclipses of the last moon were going to stir things up so that we could sever unhealthy ties in order to make needed changes. But a Mars/Pluto opposition at dark moon early this morning added a bite that many of us would have preferred to do without . On Monday I was guided to send several clients the message to sit this week out by not acting out destructively on the stormy energies we are experiencing. I intended to post that message at my blog, but the phone began ringing off the hook. Caller after caller expressed a strong sense of the cosmic tension and unease. I explained today's Mars/Pluto opposition and the recent eclipses, and asked everyone to retreat, meditate, take deep breaths and above all, to try to contemplate the possible consequences of actions. As usual with eclipses, I cautioned that if we press for an answer, it will mostly likely be no, with a slap. Truth be told, sometimes we all need that harsh dose of reality. But it's never a pleasant experience to work through. Some took comfort in the knowledge that it's just a planetary phase that will pass, others acted on their impulses (one called to express immediate regret and admitted failure to achieve her aim), and others thanked me for steering them clear of these troubled cosmic waters.

Being a Light Worker doesn't give me immunity when it comes to these intense forces. So I, too. spent much of the week struggling with issues, options and consequences. Like everyone else, I am going on in many dimensions simultaneously, and I am my emotional, mental, spiritual and physical selves. Reconciling and balancing them is sometimes quite a challenging act. In one dream the Angels clearly asked me which of my possible actions supported True Love, and they asked me to remember to ask myself this question when working through issues. Their Wisdom restored a great sense of peace, for a time at least. And then there was the 3:30 A.M. bout of all-consuming rage that led to a nearly 2 hour meditation. That meditation actually got me way beneath the surface of my current circumstances all the way down to the roots of my struggle. This knowledge helped me redirect my displaced emotions to their proper source. Oddly enough, one other theme emerged during this turbulent week, the notion that it's a Carrie Vs. Dolly kind of thing that we go through and must conquer if we're really going to create peace and joy in our lives.

In her song "Before He Cheats," American Idol winner Carrie Underwood sings:

"I dug my key into the side of his pretty little souped up 4 wheel drive,
carved my name into his leather seats...
I took a Louisville slugger to both headlights,
slashed a hole in all 4 tires...
Maybe next time he'll think before he cheats."

The first time I heard that song it concerned me that those are the ideas being put into the stressed out, over-caffeinated, highly medicated mass consciousness, and thereby receiving a form of social acceptance. I remember thinking that if a male performer sang about committing such acts of domestic violence and terrorizing his ex, he would be considered a predator. An entirely different set of social standards would be applied to him. And I'll bet this week's paycheck that several women's organizations would have tried to get his record banned from mainstream radio playlists. I know, through very regular listening to my local hip hop radio station (the joy of roommates), that male rap/hip hop artists mostly relegate women to a sexual role. And rock is simply historically male dominated and thus rarely allows any sensitivity towards women. That being said, I can't think of any examples of chart-topping songs by men advocating such explicit violence. The other thing that puzzled me about the Underwood philosophy and corporation-sculpted image is that the only other song I'd heard by her was one called "Jesus Take the Wheel" One can only hope that it wasn't His vehicle that she took that Louisville slugger to. Finally, I thought, "is it any wonder the guy in this song dumped such a psycho?". In any case, the lyric clearly expresses anger and a desire for revenge, which are of course normal human emotions and reactions to infidelity/injustice. Maybe it's culturally cathartic for millions of women to sing it out of their systems. Maybe we've crossed a dangerous pathological divide by affirming such messages en mass. I don't know. And as I'm as guilty of losing it, with the notable exception of physical violence, as the next human, I won't judge this young singer too harshly. In the mind of a twenty something, I imagine being famous is the main objective. LIke the unhelpful Britney mantra "Hit Me One More Time" before it, people that age just don't think about what they're putting out there too carefully.

So during this tense week when emotions and energies reached unsettling peaks and valleys, when clients confessed to contemplating taking drastic measures and when I worked through my own personal issues, I consciously reached out for Crone Wisdom via Dolly Parton. When faced with the inevitable end of a relationship with the one she loved so dearly and deeply, Dolly wrote the following:

"If I should stay
I would only be in your way
So I'll go, but I know
I'll think of you every step of the way

And I will always love you
I will always love you

Bittersweet memories
That is all I have and all I'm taking with me
So, goodbye... please, don't cry
We both know I'm not what you, you need

And I will always love you
I will always love you

I hope life treats you kind
And I hope you have all you've dreamed of
And I wish to you joy and happiness
But above all this, I wish you love
And I will always love you."

Sagacious Dolly doesn't hide from her pain and the disappointment of her failed relationship. Rather she stays with her suffering long enough to ultimately find Grace. On paper and in theory, we all know that hers is the wisest Path. It seems to me that the challenge is for us to work through those very human and dark Underwood impulses and emotions long enough to find our inner-Dolly so to speak, and heal ourselves.

So, now that the jolts of the eclipses and harsh Mars/Pluto opposition have passed, I implore one and all to go the way of Dolly as the cosmic dust settles. In fiercely facing that which troubles us, rather than acting out at it, we can find true resolution and peace. And there will be no need to call a good lawyer!!! If this new moon has dawned with dashed expectations, betrayal, unyielding awareness of unhappiness in a relationship or occupation, or some other challenge, let the healing spiritual waters of Pisces gently guide you to deeper understanding of what is before you now and the loving solutions available to you. This moon will usher in the start of Spring, on March 19th at 9:48 P.M. PST. Symbolically the Spring Equinox holds the time/space for profound balance. And that is what the clearing and healing will help us attain. And if we are to move forward with the thrusting Aries Sun (also on the Equinox), endeavoring to clean up more of our unfinished business will prove very worthwhile in the months and years to come. Here's to the restoration and new Harmony. And Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Why Do I Do It? That peace stuff about Ireland? I can answer that question in four notes, sung to the words “Oh Danny Boy.” That short musical phrase, from an ancient air first set to paper in the 1700’s, goes right to my heart. And for anyone who’s heard the tune at a funeral, its profound effect is undeniable. And so this year’s St. Patrick’s season begins. You’ll see shamrocks, people in very loud, some would say downright obnoxious, shades of green, many of whom are likely to be highly intoxicated, and all manner of Celtic revelry and celebration. 2008 is a very special occasion for me and the Irish.

In the Spring of 1998 the Good Friday Peace Accord was signed by longtime political enemies, and then approved by voters across the island, North and South. The people demanded that their political leaders find a way for all to live in peace, and I was hooked. Peace is that one ideal to which all spiritual paths and practitioners aspire. In my ten years of watching the Irish people work toward a lasting settlement, slow step by slow arduous step, I’ve had many occasions to contemplate its meaning.

During a 1999 protest against the Good Friday Accord, a man in a wheelchair held up a sign with large red letters that read, “REAL VICTIM.” At the time I was reading the work of Caroline Myss, so his sign jumped from out of the TV screen into my consciousness. I would never judge this man, for I have not had to walk in his shoes for so much as one single day. From the news story I surmised that he had been injured permanently in one of the region’s many horrible bombings. But his words haunted me. I thought about Ms. Myss’ writings about the culture of “Woundology” and her assertion that after a certain point, our victimhood becomes unhealthy. I actually don’t know anyone who hasn’t had to deal with some wound or another. In some cases, the cause is explicitly political. For most the traumas are less obvious or dramatic, but no less painful to endure and challenging to reconcile. In her book “Why People Don’t Heal and How They Can,” Ms. Myss ultimately concludes that forgiveness is the solution. By forgiving, we are not condoning the behavior of the perpetrator. Rather we are making a clear and conscious choice to no longer allow that past experience to be our primary identification. It’s a “that was then, this is now” kind of clarity and philosophy. She also discusses at great length the dangers of bonding to one another in our pain, and the inevitable futility of doing so. Eventually someone will want to end the cycle of suffering and grow and heal, and this destabilizes relationships founded on mutual wounds. And so it was with the man on TV. The world around him had collectively decided that the time to move on had come. And there he was, railing against change, against peace.

Another moment in this ten year journey that stands out for me is that of the Omagh bombing. In late August of 1998, when the Peace Accord was new and fragile and Northern Ireland’s political future was still very uncertain, those who didn’t want peace tried to stop it in its tracks. In a crowded city center on a Sunday afternoon the bomb went off. With tragic irony this incident became the most deadly in the 30 years of the Troubles. Fortunately hate, violence and destruction have their limits. Instead of reigniting the terrible cycle of retaliation, that bombing inspired greater support for peace. It reminded the people, in grim and harrowing detail, of precisely what they so desperately longed to leave behind. In each moment we choose and those choices create our future.

Of all of the stories of the Troubles, the one that I think will always mean the most to me is of a man, now deceased, named Gordon Wilson. In November of 1987 the Troubles had been going on for twenty years, peace process after peace process had failed and the violence was relentless. At that year’s Remembrance (Veteran’s Day) parade in a small town called Enniskillen, the IRA targeted and bombed elderly, retired British soldiers who had gathered in the town center for the annual ceremony. Amongst the dead was a young nurse who had come to the event with her father, Mr. Wilson. A BBC reporter caught up with him later that evening and this is what he said.

"She held my hand tightly, and gripped me as hard as she could. She said, 'Daddy, I love you very much.' Those were her exact words to me, and those were the last words I ever heard her say. But I bear no ill will. I bear no grudge. Dirty sort of talk is not going to bring her back to life. She was a great wee lassie. She loved her profession. She was a pet. She's dead. She's in Heaven and we shall meet again.”

A Protestant, he would not allow his daughter’s death to be used to fuel Loyalist retribution. Her death and his tender and profound words began to change things.

So when “the pipes” come calling this year, if you see me with a tear in my eye, it won’t be for the sorrows of Ireland, or myself. It will be for the Love of people like the late Gordon Wilson. It will be for the Irish people, who just this past May formed a joint government where Protestant and Catholic serve together. It will be for those kids who now go to school together that I’m always going on about. And it will be for the dawning of St. Patrick’s Day in a new Northern Ireland.

Oh Danny boy, the pipes, the pipes are calling
From glen to glen, and down the mountain side
The summer's gone, and all the flowers are dying
'Tis you, 'tis you must go and I must bide.

But come ye back when summer's in the meadow
Or when the valley's hushed and white with snow
'Tis I'll be here in sunshine or in shadow
Oh Danny boy, oh Danny boy, I love you so.

And if you come, when all the flowers are dying
And I am dead, as dead I well may be
You'll come and find the place where I am lying
And kneel and say an "Ave" there for me.

And I shall hear, tho' soft you tread above me
And all my dreams will warm and sweeter be
If you'll bend and tell me that you love me
I simply sleep in peace until you come to me.

"Get Up" for Peace on February 24th

Though roughly 5,134 miles (8,262 km) lie between me and the staff of NICIE in Belfast, we're getting together a week from Sunday, February the 24th. We're also inviting everyone from Strangford Integrated College in Co. Down, people from all of the integrated schools throughout Northern Ireland for that matter, anyone in the world who wants to be part of the festivities, and of course, you. On the 24th we're uniting at iTunes to celebrate and support peace.

30 years ago Northern Ireland was for all intensive purposes, at war. Though it will not be named as such for all sorts of legal and political reasons, I imagine, all of the horror we understand as war was the day to day experience of the people there. In that very difficult setting, the work of the integrated education movement began via NICIE. They are the Northern Ireland Council for Integrated Education, and what they have been doing for 27 years now is establishing schools that Protestant and Catholics attend together. Their belief that educating children together would ultimately yield peace was correct.

Ten years ago people across Ireland voted for a peace process in the form of the Good Friday Agreement, and I was hooked. It's too long of a story for this post (there are some press accounts if you really want to know more). But suffice it to say, the inspiration that stirred my heart way back then has never left. In fact the approach of Spring each year reminds of that momentous and hopeful time. On my journey into trying to understand peace through the story of Ireland, I've traveled there, North and South, made friends with the people of NICIE, and enjoyed the opportunity to support that peace with my music. This on-line event affirms everything I believe in.

I believe we can help one another with something as simple as downloading a song. I believe that political activism makes a difference. And mostly, I believe that most people want to live in peace, whatever their ideological differences, and that the example of N. Ireland clearly demonstrates that peace is attainable.

I'd write a lot more if time only permitted, but I'm packing for an overdue long weekend holiday in San Diego. I just wanted to post here and ask people to please help me to get the word out about our special one-day, on-line fund-raiser. Of the $1.99 cost of a legal download at iTunes for this music video, $1.39 will be donated to NICIE. And with enough downloads on one day, we have a shot of making the iTunes Top 100 Music Video Charts. The students who star in this video, and their dedicated teachers Leah and Richard, are from one of these integrated schools, and are more than deserving of the recognition. Let's do it for them, their parents, for NICIE and for peace.

Peace,
Elizabeth

New Moon Eclipse

In terms of planning for this eventful lunar cycle, the word faith comes to mind. All that is sound will hold, and that which no longer serves our well-being may be released at this time. Have the courage to ask for what truly gives your life joy, and these eclipses will help you begin attaining it. This Spring marks my tenth year of reading professionally. And if there’s one thing I’ve learned in all of these years of watching the stars and planets move and interact with clients’ lives, it is the power of eclipses to clear paths and promote healthy change. The first eclipse falls on February 6th, with the new moon. Btw, that is also the day Louise Hay will be a guest on The Oprah Winfrey Show. I normally recommend taking stock of our lives at the dark moon in order to set clear intentions at the new moon. With this year’s first eclipse on hand to usher in this moon, reflection and clarity are of particular significance. Whether you start taking bold, decisive steps toward your goals on the 6th or simply affirm them to yourself and to the Universe, you will being doing so under very special influences and conditions. One of the best ways of determining if your intention is right for you is to ask yourself one simple question. Does this idea make my heart sing? Your body will give you the answer. Another aspect of your intention to consider with the sun and moon in aquarius is service to others. Does your goal benefit others? I’ve seen the Universe green light humanitarian efforts much faster than self-serving ones, which makes perfect metaphysical sense to me.

Once this pure and loving intention is given to the Universe, have faith that you and your endeavor will be fully supported, and listen for the Guidance that comes to you. The second eclipse at the full moon on the 20th may give your intention the grounding and direction it needs to manifest. The moon will be in virgo where saturn is, so look for very clear and concrete instructions from the Universe as to what steps to take next. To remind you, jupiter is still in capricorn where it will be until next January. So we have incredibly practical and reliable support on-hand. We may be asked to exercise our discipline (not always the fun thing to do). But if we do so, the rewards will be substantial. Then simply trust the infinite Wisdom of the Divine to make the path before you joyous and peaceful.

In terms of the wider world we live in, these insights have come to me. I believe that February will bring resolution to the writer’s strike. My sense it that it will also be another turbulent month for Wall Street, likely more so than January. Once past the storm, we’ll begin a slow, steady and very gradual recovery. We’re in a long period of economic corrections (saturn’s influence in my view). And while challenging, the changes made under these conditions will ultimately restore healthier ways of living and doing business. And in the meantime, new opportunities will be created for those adhering to and aligning with responsible practices. For example, people who have been priced out of over heated housing markets will now be able to own homes. Their loans, in contrast to ones made in the recent past, will be granted under stricter yet much wiser terms. While saturn is in virgo, investments and developments in innovative energy technologies can finally begin to relieve over dependence on foreign oil sources (thus providing greater global stability) and create much greener sources of energy. The tough love we may be forced to practice now and in the next year and a half, may well yield a much brighter tomorrow. So as February brings Super Tuesday and more primary elections to the United States, I would ask everyone to hold the intention for peace, healing and the highest and best good of our planet. Not much to ask for, right?

In closing I want to leave you with a few other notes. The video for peace that I recently made with students from N. Ireland is now on sale at iTunes. All proceeds from video sales are being donated to NICIE, who help parents establish integrated schools throughout the region. Just look it up in their music video section under the song title "Get Up" or the artist Awakening Queen Maebh. Peace for $2 - that's a bargain! In planetary news, venus (love ruler) moves into aquarius on the 17th, mercury goes direct on the 18th, the sun moves into pisces on the 19th and it will oppose saturn on the 24th. If none of that makes any sense to you, please consider doing one of the following: get a totally FREE chart at our website or have a reading with one of the very talented readers at our sites, 12Angel and 12Listen. In February we’re running a special every day of the month in celebration of 2, as in 2 eclipses, 2 hearts, 2 sites and 2 readers. In fact 2 readers will be on sale each day for this month for $2.12 per minute all day (or as long as their voices hold up!). My sale dates are the 4th and 19th with the psychic I love to flirt with the most, Keith, the 9th with one of most popular new readers DeMari, and the 29th with Drueann, my sister of Avalon. We’re so happy to work together on that day! Lastly, in announcements, another one of my friends is blooming. I love spotlighting others for this very reason, watching them grow, shine and help others with their work. Her name is Nicole and she’s launched her new website which is a virtual hub of wonderful metaphysical resources. Please visit her.

So there you have it, the mysteries of eclipses revealed, or at least my take on them and my interpretation of the bigger trends. Wishing all a very happy Valentine’s Day. For those of you curious as to what happened since we wrote abundance checks at the beginning of this moon, please see my previous blog entry. Along with follow up details to that experiment, in it I’ve also placed a ritual for creating more romantic love in your life that can be done on the 6th or 14th. This year’s Valentine’s Day has some very favorable aspects. So enjoy!

Love and light always,
Elizabeth
